Bluewinds is a crafting website.  You can find on this site a mall for hand-made crafts, supplies for crafts, books (both hard copy & eBooks) on crafting, eCourses on various types of crafting, a crafting newsletter, and a directory of other crafting websites.  We are the one stop shop for crafters!

History of Bluewinds

In 1996, Bluewinds was created by Betty & Christine, a mother – daughter team of crafters and web designers.  Bluewinds was first a craft mall that highlighted local crafters in the Southern California area.  Betty & Christine had been crafters for many years themselves.  They sold many different items at local farmers markets, craft fairs, and real world craft malls.  When the internet exploded, they knew that this knew and wonderful frontier was going to be the place where crafters could make a living from their art.

Over the years Bluewinds has taken on many shapes and styles, but it has always come back to our roots of crafting.  Now we’ve added more for the community of crafters.  Come see what’s in store for you.

In our shop you can find the crafts that we’ve made, that can also be found on eBay.  If you have handmade craft items you’d like to sell, but don’t have your own website, we can sell it for you on consignment.  If you’re looking for craft supplies, we have a wide selection of supplies for just about any craft you want to create. 

Want to learn how to make something or learn about a new medium?  We have books, both hard copy and eBooks for you to read, and some wonderful courses for you to take to learn something new.  You can also subscribe to our Crafters Newsletter.  Learn about a new craft each week, read about our featured Crafter and find some great discounts for your crafting needs.
